LADERER DAN M.
Age 78, of Beaver Falls, died Monday, Oct. 13, 2014, in Good Samaritan Hospice. Born November 10, 1935, in Harmony, PA, Butler County, he was the son of the late Daniel R. and Carolyn Uhl Laderer. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of the College Hill Presbyterian Church, former owner and operator of Laderer Collision Technicians for 50 years. He had been a past president and district governor of the Kiwanis Club, volunteer firefighter for the Beaver Falls Fire Department for 32 years where he had been a Captain, charter member of the Chippewa Lions Club, charter member of Chippewa Township Volunteer Fire Department, a volunteer for Meals On Wheels, a volunteer for the soup kitchen at the First Presbyterian Church in Beaver Falls. He had also been a delivery driver for Snyder's Florists in Beaver for several years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, R. Todd and Bonnie Laderer; and his brother-in-law, C. Dennis Shepard. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sandra Shepard Laderer; a daughter, S. Beth Laderer, Alexandria, VA; a son and daughter-in-law, D. Michael and Theresa Laderer, Big Beaver; four grandchildren, whom he loved dearly and who fondly called him "Grumpy", Annette, Benjamin, Matthew, and Mark Laderer; a sister-in-law, Jay Shepard, North Sewickley Township; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the HILL & KUNSELMAN FUNERAL HOME, www.hillandkunselman.com, 3801 Fourth Ave., College Hill, Beaver Falls, where a Service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m., with Rev. Dennis D. Burnett, officiating. Interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Cemetery. The Veterans Honor Guard will meet in the cemetery at 11:45 a.m. on Thursday to conduct full military honors.
