Dana Victoria Carson (nee Reed), passed away peacefully at her parents home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, November 13, 2021, she was 35 years old. Born in Langhorne, Dana graduated from Conwell Egan High School receiving an award for not missing a day of school since kindergarten, then she went on to receive her Bachelors degree from Temple University and her Master's from Holy Family University in Special Education. Dana prided herself in being an educator and making sure no child was left behind, she spent many years being a teacher at Wood's Services. Her greatest joy in life was being a mom, she was the best wife, mother, daughter, sister, daughter-in-law, and friend. Dana spent 5 years working as a PREP teacher for Queen of the Universe. She enjoyed doing many crafts, going to her family's cabin in Potter County, loved sitting out in the sun, going to the beach and loved flowers even though she hated bees. Dana was the the sweetest kindest soul anyone could hope to meet. Even at her lowest during her cancer treatment she was still always concerned with how everyone else was doing.
Dana was preceded in death by her daughter Amelia Carson, her maternal grandfather James Wertman, and paternal grandmother Elvera Reed.
She will be deeply missed by her husband Sean Carson and her children Charlotte and Reed Carson. Along with her parents Kevin and Michele (nee Wertman) Reed, her sister and bestfriend Juliana Reed, maternal grandmother Yvonne (nee Aprigliano) Wertman, parents-in-law Christopher and Mary Carson, brother-in-law Ross (Raquel) Carson and sister-in-law Paige Carson.
Dana will also be sadly missed by her maternal aunt, Diane and Steve Costello and her beloved cousins.
The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the coworkers, friends, and neighbors for their love, support, and prayers over the last few months.
Relatives and friends are invited to the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home Inc. 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown, PA 19056 on Thursday, November 18, 2021 from 5pm until 8pm. Dana was much loved by her students and all her colleagues at Woods Services, especially, those at the Brookwood School. She was such a bright light in our school, always making time to support others. Dana embodied the principles that guide our work at Woods: safety, comfort and engagement. To think that this bright light is gone in unconscionable. We are heartbroken and offer our collective heartfelt condolences to Sean, their children and the entire extended family. We hope that your memories of Dana will fill your hearts helping you find comfort. Dana’s spirit will live on at Woods through all the lives she touched. May she rest in peace.

Dana was such a spirited young child. I did not know her as an adult but reading about her helped me to see her as a caring compassionate adult. My deepest sympathy goes out to Michelle Kevin and the family. May you always feel her loving presence within your heart.

I’m heartbroken by the lose of this amazing soul. I’ve know Dana, for as along as I can remember in my years of being a hairdresser until Julianna took over my shoes in that area ❤ Dana has always been a wonderful person to be around and had helped me in finding resources when my son was diagnosed on the autism spectrum. I’m so grateful. I’m no good with words, I just feel so deeply with empathy for your family. Please know my heartaches for you all and I’m sending prayers and healing energy.

I was absolutely shocked to hear of Dana's illness and her passing. Having worked with Dana when she was going to Temple I admired her hard work, determination and professionalism. She was such a dedicated wife and mother. My deepest sympathies to all the family, most especially her babies, Charlotte and Reed.
