Dana Chapman Obituary
Many of you know Dana as the owner of Perfection Limousine & Snowplowing Service in Brewer.
Dana was predeceased by his father, Philip J Chapman, Sr.; his paternal grandparents; George & Frances Chapman, Sr.; his maternal grandparents, Asie & Lillian Tracy; he was also predeceased by many aunt and uncles.
Dana is survived by his mother, Elsie (Tracy) Chapman of Brewer; two sisters, Debra (Chapman) Byrne and her husband Michael of Winslow; Tandra (Chapman) Manzo of Pittsfield and her friend, Scott Moen of Albion; two brothers, Philip J. Chapman, Jr. and his friend Annette of Brewer; Rick Chapman of Bangor and Veronica of Veazie. He is also survived by twelve nieces and nephews, Erik, Amanda and Kevin Byrne; Philip III and Rebecca Chapman; Shailene and Victoria Chapman; Daniel, Cody, Randy, Keely & John Manzo. Two special Aunts; Irma (Tracy) Bentley of Texas City, Texas and Shelia (Tracy) Pelkey of Ridgeville, South Carolina and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He is also survived by his special hairdresser, and friend, Carol Small of Newport.
Dana made friends very easily and he had many special friends. Special friends include Eddie Rice of Brewer; Mike Lucas, John Largay, and Ralph McPherson all of Bangor; and Dana Turell of Portland. Dana's best friends were his two brothers, Rick and Philip Chapman Jr. Dana lived with his mother and took pride in taking such good care of her.
We hold very special memories of Dana in our hearts. Love lives and those we love are never really lost. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. We know Dana will forever be watching over his family and friends. Until we meet again my friend, "Good-Bye Dana."
At the request of family, there will be no services. Those who wish to remember Dana may send donations in his memory to Elsie Chapman, 124 Union Street, Brewer, ME 04412.

I just returned to maine and had been thinkn about my ol buddy dana, he was so funny and always happy. Hard to forget this guy. I looked him up and found this, very sad, uve been on my mind ! Till we meet again rest in peace. I'm very sorry for the family he was a great person!

I am so sorry to hear about Dana. My daughter and I saw him on Friday and we were going to go for a boat ride on Saturday. We will miss him so much; he was such a great friend to us. He would give my kids a ride in his limo on their birthdays and pretty much whenever they wanted. He was so good with my kids - probably because he was a big kid himself. God Bless you Dana and thanks for making me laugh all these years, going to bet on the ponies, and all the boat rides! you were always someone I could count on.

So sorry to hear of Dana's passing, and way before his time. Haven't seen him in years, but will always remember what a great guy he was, and a good friend to me back in the Showring days of the early 80's. We used to call each other "Big Bird" teasing ourselves about our normal size, it was everyone else that was small. Rest in Peace Big Guy.

I already signed the guest book once but as I had said, I was there on Saturday right after he passed. I regret so much that I didn't stop in that morning & say hi because now I won't ever get the chance so if you're reading this & have a friend or family member you haven't seen in awhile, don't put off talking or going to visit that person because you never know when waiting til later may be too late so pick up the phone & call them or get in your car & go visit them. A message for Elsie: You don't know me but I wanted so badly to go give you a hug but you were dealing with the immediate aftermath. Dana loved you so much. I'm so sorry for your loss, no mother should ever have to go through what you have. You raised a wonderful son that loved life, people, and had an ability to put a smile on the face of anyone. I understand there will be no services but I was wondering if it would be okay with you and your family if some of Dana's friends had a get-together to celebrate his life & grieve his loss. If you don't object to us doing something like that, we'd really like to. I am very sad that God took Dana so soon. I light this virtual candle in honor of Dana Chapman, friend, brother, son,and so many other things. I hope others will light candles too & thank you Dennis Stevens for making sure this guest book will remain on here for a year. Dana may be gone, but HE WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.

I remember Dana driving me around when I was in high school because I didn't have a car. He would play Supertramp on his stereo and I remember the song "Lord is it mine". I pray today Dana that it is yours.

Dana loved people & he loved to spend time with his friends. He took care of an elderly man that had nobody else & if they put everyone that knew & loved him in the obituary, they would have had to use the entire newspaper. I'm sad there won't be a service but I hope we'll at least get to know where he'll be laid to rest so we may visit him there. He was always good to me & I don't know anyone that wouldn't say the same. I was there on Saturday I just wished I had been there sooner so I could've seen him one last time. Raise your Clamato juice high & toast in memory of someone that died too young. He will be sadly missed. My condolences to his family & Dana Tirrell.
