Dear Carol and Derek,

I hurt from the loss of my brother. He was a very humble,caring and generous soul. When I think of him now, there is usually laughter following the memories. He was a good big brother. I will miss him dearly and will keep him close always.

I can't imagine what your grief like. I've always felt if there is great pain there was also great love. Look to Christ Jesus for your strength. He has been mine for years.

The Virgin clan loves you both very much. We would like to see you more often. Call on us,we will be there for you. Love, Darlene

Although you will not be as familiar with my name as his sister.I am an old friend from the past and wish to express my deepest sympathy to both of you. As I remember he was a kind and thoughtful person whom I all shall not forget.And that smile was so contagious. May God Bless the both of you

Carol & Derek I have lost a brother, you a husband and a father.Your grief will be the hardest because Dana was in your life everyday. I regret that it had been too long since I last spoke or saw Dana, but can not count the times my thoughts turned to all of you. So many times I had thoughts of calling or emailing Dana - all I have now are regrets. Carol, you know my soft spot I had for my brother. I loved him and will miss him, but I have learned to stay closer to family now thru the lost of Dana. We are family and I love you.

Carol.....We are so terribly saddened over the lost of our good buddy Dana. It has left a whole in our hearts the size of the Ted Williams Tunnel.( Dana and that tunnel!!) Here we sit in Wisconsin wishing we could of spent one more week together. Life is strange.A new chapter at every corner.You are a lucky woman to have spent many years together as he was a lucky man. All our love goes out to both of you. Dana was very much loved and will be very much missed. The turn out at his wake and funeral shows how many lives he had touched.

Dana has left us with many great memories in our different stages of life that we will always have to cherish. Know that we will always be here for you.

Darlene & Bill, we are shocked to see the news of the loss of your brother, Dana. He worked with us for a day or so last spring installing a new lock on one of our doors at the office. It was then I learned, Darlene, that he was your brother as he wore a nametag prompting me to ask of his relation.
