Daniel P. Alderete



At the age of 49 Daniel went to be with our Lord on Feb. 1st, 2016 due to unexpected illnesses.

He is preceded in death by his parents George and Ruth Alderete, brother Gary Alderete, step brothers Lorenzo and James Garcia.

Daniel grew up in Albuquerque where he met Theresa at age 15. They have been together for 34 years and married 26 years.

He is survived by his wife Theresa Alderete and their four children: Daniel Alderete Jr. wife Chivon, Gabriel Alderete wife Sonia, Natalie Alderete husband Michael, Charles Alderete wife Ivone; nine grandchildren: Eric, Gabriel, Audrianna, Estrella, Elizabeth, Isaiah, Samarah, Ezabella, and Zechariah; two sisters: Renee DeHerrera husband Bruce, Georgeanna Alderete husband Denny; brother: Nick Garcia wife Katy; his amazing in-laws Isidro and Josie Amaya. He has a lot of amazing in-laws, aunties that are like moms, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends!

Daniel's passion was being with his family especially his grandkids. He had a boxing team named Alderete Boxing, he was a coach to two of his sons. He would go above and beyond for kids that wanted to learn the sport boxing. He loved working with his hands. Building things, laying tile, remodeling our house, planting etc. Daniel loved making people laugh, taking selfies (selfie king), and jamming to ACDC. He was a big tough guy on the outside, but a soft cuddly teddy bear on the inside and that's what made him an amazing tata. He will be missed by so many! His memories will forever be cherished. This is not a good bye, we will see you later. May you rest in paradise.

Services will be held Saturday the 13th at Riverside Funeral Home from 3-5p.m. Following the service we will have a family gathering at our daughter's house, 640 Escavada St SW, 87105. Stop by for food and refreshments. Contact Natalie at 505-218-3790 or Charles at 505-903-8293.
