ASHE, Daniel D.
Born March 25, 1941 in Halifax, Novia Scotia. Passed away June 8, 2015. Longtime resident of Windsor, Ontario. Husband of Catherine J. Ashe (Lawler). Son of the late Daniel J. Ashe and Marion E. Ashe (Judge). Survived by sisters Deborah M. Ashe, Catherine S. Issac (Ashe) and Juanita P. Corbett (Ashe); brother-in-law Stan Corbett; nieces Jessica Wright, Danielle Smith and great-niece Maddison Wright. Also Aunt Mary Ashe and many cousins on the East and West Coast, including Ontario. Predeceased by brother Dennis F. Ashe (1967); brothers-in- law Clair A. Graham (2010) and Eric Murphy; and sister Janet E. Ashe (2014). Dan was a longtime employee of Zalev Brothers in the Windsor/Detroit area. He was the past Commodore (2000) of the Windsor Yacht Club. After retiring, Dan spent his winters with his bride Cathy in Ft. Myers, Florida. At Dan's request, Cremation has taken place. Dan will be laid to Rest in Truro, Nova Scotia at a later date. i was Dan's Dental Hygienist and saw him just at the end of April of this year..i always enjoyed having that hour with Dan..getting caught up on his Florida days and also chatting about Nova Scotia..he will be missed at our dental office..sincere condolences to you Cathy and your family also..take care

Dear Cathy
My deepest sympathies to you. I know your "best friend " is not beside you now but will always be with you, as he will always be with me and my family. I truly have lost a brother. I am sure the 3 Coaches have already picked their roster for their hockey team.

I had the distinct pleasure of meeting Dan for the first time at a golf outing in Jackson, Michigan. Being a fellow "Bluenoser" we shared more than a few stories about our beloved Nova Scotia. Dan was a true gentleman and I so much looked forward to seeing him in Jackson each September. My sincere condolences to the entire family.

Philip and Elizabeth Cho were very sadden to hear the news about Dan . We will always have very fond memories of talking and playing golf with Dan and our Saturday dinners after golf with all the gang . Dan was one of the first to welcome us into the ft myers group and always went out of his way to say hello and make us feel at home .
