Miss you brother
Cathy Ballman
February 9, 2024
Dan was my beloved brother-in-law. My first memory stems from when we were all so young and enjoying life and he told me to stop worrying - And all through our relationship, his words of wisdom; "Cathy, can you change this, can you fix this- and if you can't, why are you worrying? Let it go... " Or just a pragmatic "So what can you do about it?" with his wry twist of an eyebrow. His expression did indeed make one think...
Dan loved my sister, and he loved her through so much.
Dan was a fabulous uncle to my daughter Hannah. He came to her wedding alone, and it must have been hard to see all the Ballman girls without Anne by his side. But he was there for Hannah, as he had been for every birthday, every Christmas, every event, even after we lost Anne.
I miss Dan walking through the gate, his chuckle, his realistic approach to life. I miss you, Dan. I am comforted by knowing that you are with the love of your life, my sister Anne,
