Daniel John Bochenek, passed away peacefully at home with his family after a brief illness on Tuesday, June 6, 2023. He was born on October 15,1927 in Baltimore, Maryland. He was one of five boys born to Casimer and Frances Bochenek. Daniel was a United States Army veteran of World War II.

Daniel married Joanne Konieczny on January 30, 1951 and worked in air conditioning and refrigeration repair for Sears for 35 years. He enjoyed duckpin bowling, fishing, golf and gardening. Dan and Joanne moved from their longtime home on Chester Street in Baltimore, Maryland to Rising Sun, Maryland in 2008.

Dan is survived by his wife, Joanne Konieczny Bochenek, his devoted children, Dennis (Judy) Bochenek of Cockeysville, MD, Diane (Craig) Bush of Rising Sun, MD, and Donna (Joe) Grzelik of Millsboro, Delaware, his loving grandchildren, Tracey (Colin) King, Todd (Haylee) Bochenek, Michael Bush, Kevin Bush, Karley (Tevin) Taylor and Danielle (Ross) Catron and adorable great grandchildren, Raelynn Bush (7), Keller King (6), Lily Taylor (3) and Macklyn King (3). He is also survived by his nephew, Father Joseph Bochenek, nephew, Louis Konieczny and niece Nancy Hefright.

Dan was predeceased by his brothers, Stanley, Joseph, Leo, and Raymond Bochenek.

A graveside service and interment will be held at Saint Stanislaus Cemetery located at 6515 Boston Street Baltimore, Maryland, 21224 on Friday, June 16 at 11:00 a.m. The family invites family and friends back to the UAW Hall at 1010 Oldham Street, Baltimore immediately following the service for a reception to celebrate and remember the life of Dan Bochenek.

I am so sad to hear that Mr. Bochenek passed away. I worked with Mr. Bochenek at Sears. He was always so kind and sweet. A true gentleman! I was one of the dispatchers for Sears. I can still hear his voice when I answered the phone. I would say,"Dispatch" and his answer was always, "Bochenek, here!" Such a good man. Prayers for his family and friends.
