So shocked and sorry to hear about Dan. I got to know him well in the online auto sales business, Dan was a friend and mentor. Go with God and peace be with you brother.

Here is a picture of Dan (class of 1978 President) along with John Meadowcroft, Jerilynne O'Kelly and Dave Graves the officers.

As I reflect and prepare for Dan's funeral tomorrow, there is so much I want to share. I've been trying to pull together pictures from old yearbooks to share with family and friends, but it isn't going as well as I thought it would. What I want to convey is the love and respect from so many from his hometown that knew him. As Debbie said, "from naps on the kindergarten mats, to planning our 40th reunion" we've been friends our whole lives. Dan was loved and respected by classmates, teachers and community members alike, even at the tender age of high school. He was a photographer and report, specialist in supporting the Audio Visual Department. That would have been the precursor to an IT department now I suspect. He was smart, funny, kind, generous, level headed, giving and genuinely one of the best people most of us will ever have the privilege to know. He's been a first love, a best friend, a kind helping hand, a supporter and mentor. I won't go on an don...........We love you Danny Churchill and we will miss you always. On behalf of myself and our friends from school...... a loving and sad farewell from all of us.

It was an honor to meet and know Dan. He was always so warm and friendly, and our entire team enjoyed working with him & NetBiz. He will be missed. Our company has made a donation to Rails to Trails in his honor, and we all send our deepest condolences to Dan's family.

When I was visiting in Stamford this summer I had no idea that the brief visit I had with Dan was really an incredible gift. We reminisced about Sunday school classes in elementary school to recent '78 the great reunions and even talked about planning the next. What a gentle, intelligent man who loved his family and had awesome dreams and plans for the future. Gone way to soon, you'll be missed by many.
Prayers for Peace for the family and all who loved him.

Hi Liz,
I was so sad to hear about Dan. You and your family are in our thoughts an prayers.
I made a donation of $50 to Rails to Trails, but there wasn't a way to make it in Dan's name. Please know how glad I was to do this because Greg and I rode the trails also. However, given the present situation, we won't be doing that anymore.
Life is so unfair. I am sorry that we are both traveling such unwanted roads. If you ever want to talk, feel free to get my number or email from Natalie.
I send you love and strength.

I am so saddened to her of Dan's passage. When he was in high school, he shot many photos for me to use in the Stamford Mirror Recorder. He was bright, inquisitive, funny, caring and compassionate. I am sorry for the Churchill family in Stamford, and the Churchill family in Ohio. My fervent prayres are with you. -- Perry White

Liz, we are so very sorry for your loss. We have you, Marybeth and Maggie close in thought and prayer. We couldn't believe it when we heard the news. Dan was one of the most gentle, kind people I have ever known. I feel privileged to have called him "friend" for 52 years. Our hearts are so heavy at the thought of not seeing him again. I can only imagine the magnitude of your loss and am so sorry for it. May God Bless you all in this time of sorrow - as I am confident he has blessed Dan by welcoming him into his Kingdom with open arms: "Well done my faithful servant, you touched all whom you knew with love". xoxo

I am deeply saddened by the loss of such a fine young, smart, talented, and always a gentleman, who touched so many lives. I knew him best from SCS, but also through family, as I knew his parents, his grandparents, and yes---his great-grandparents too. We were distant cousins. Dan was photographer (One of his talents) at my "25th". My heart goes out to his wife & children, all his family and friends, especially to his father who has already lost too many. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Dan will be missed.

Here's a photo of Dan at what is now called Frog Hammock campsite on the Florida Trail north of Loop Rd. in Big Cypress National Preserve. We were doing trail maintenance and campsite clean up that day. November of 2006.

Dan was my best friend in my early years of school. Kind, smart, ambitious. I still remember the time-lapse photography he was doing over 40 years ago. No doubt he will be missed greatly by everyone who knew him.

So sorry for your loss Liz and family. I loved Dan also because he was a kind and gentle man. Dan and Liz saved me from pulling all my hair out by helping to teach my daughter to drive. He also gave my daughter Kendra her 1st car. A 1995 Volkswagen Golf which she named Shelby. May God bless you and I will keep you in my prayers. Love, Debbie Parson
