My dear brother, It is nine years today since God needed the best forester in Heaven and called you to your eternal home. I miss you lots everyday and I know that your Magnolia Memorial Tree in my yard is thriving because you are the best tree whisperer in Heaven. The sibling love we shared will always be in my heart. I see your shooting stars above whenever I ask for a God wink from you, rest in peace my dear brother.

It's hard to believe that almost ten years have passed and there is not a forestry commissioner's meeting that your name, management expertise,
skills and camaraderie find expression in at least two instances made with humor, professional land
and critical forestry observances a nd recommendations all the
while conducting site inspections and singing while I hugged a tree or two! Chanson du loggeur Francais Canadienne! Sleep peacefully my friend.

We can;'t afford to lose a man like you, Daniel Cyr. You were one of the great men of the world--one whose wisdom and generosity only led to the enrichment of the planet. I only regret that I was unable to meet you and hope that we can do as well in Nashua as you have in Pelham.

Dan made a real difference in the way the Town of Pelham manages our forests. He was always able to deal so well with people who had concerns about this or that. No question was unanswered. He commanded the full attention and respect of all he dealt with. Your spirit, Dan, lives on in our forests.

Dan, we will miss your smiling face coming into the store. You were always a ray of sunshine and fought a great battle. Heaven is lucky to have you now.

Dan was an outstanding conservationist and an amazing person. His knowledge, professionalism, energy and enthusiasm will be greatly missed. I will never forget the support and counsel he provided me over the years or that great smile of his and sense of humor. He really was the "finest kind".

You will be missed Dan, but boy did you leave your mark!

Dan will be sorely missed both as a passionate forestry professional and as a fun-loving, kind, and generous person. The world has lost one of the "good" guys. Rest in peace my friend.

RIP Dan, I always enjoyed working with you, appreciated your passion for forestry! My condolences to the family.

Our professional forester extraordinaire who will be sorely missed. With much aplomb and patience he worked with the Pelham Forestry Commission/Committee for 30+ years ... over the river, through the woods and wetlands, traversed bog bridges, sang very spirited and loud French loggeur songs, climbed over ledges and glacial boulders, hugged trees and laughed a lot. Always a gentleman and skilled guide in our Town Forests Management goals. He was an affable master of communication in working with the community to achieve those goals. Godspeed to a peaceful, well deserved rest "Dan, Our Forester Man".

Dan was passionate about all things forestry. Whether he was talking to a landowner or a logger or marking a timber sale, he was the consummate professional. He was a very skilled, extremely ethical forester who was well respected and liked by all who knew him. And a fun guy. He will be sorely missed.

We will miss Dan coming into the Dunstable town hall! We had many laughs and always looked forward to his visits!

Beautiful remembrance of Dan! He has been close in our thoughts and prayers over the past few years and his recent passing saddened us. He was fun-loving, kind, generous, and will be dearly missed.
