Daniel Dean Wheeler Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 9, 2017.
Daniel D. Wheeler, 59, passed away Monday, August 7, 2017 at Cottage in the Meadow. Dan was born March 29, 1958 in Yakima to Bill Wheeler and Nancy (Dunbar) Bridges. He grew up in Yakima and attended East Valley High School. He graduated in 1976 and joined the U.S. Navy. He served for 6 years, then returned home where he worked at Keller Fruit and Boise Cascade. He was very skilled in doing instrumentation, controls, electrical, technician and machinist jobs, and PLC programming.

In 1986, he had his first child, Bradley Wheeler and a daughter, Ashley (Wheeler) Bailey, in 1989. Dan was very warm hearted, caring, loving, and friendly. He was the life of the party with his jokes, always smiling and laughing, willing to help others whenever they were in need, and even carrying his big T.V. over to the neighbor's house, so everyone could watch the Seahawks games together. Dan loved the outdoors. He enjoyed camping, fishing, snowmobiling, and hunting. He loved his family, friends, and neighbors dearly.

Dan is preceded in death by his stepmother Barbara Wheeler and stepfather Harry Bridges.

Dan is survived by his father Bill Wheeler, mother Nancy (Dunbar) Bridges, sisters Lori Sprague and Danette Nidiffer, children Bradley Wheeler and Ashley Bailey, grandchildren Akira Wheeler, Khloe Bailey, A1exus Bailey, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, his niece and friends. Dan will be forever loved and deeply missed.

We would like to give a big thank you to Kwaji Miller, Brenda Miller, Cottage in the Meadow, and all the Hospice nurses. You all have been so wonderful and we truly appreciate all that you have done.

We would like everyone to join us at the VFW, 118 S. 5th Ave, on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 4 pm to celebrate Daniel Wheeler's life.
