I only knew Daniel when he lived next to my relatives, and I would see him at their child's birthday parties. He was the kindest, most polite young man that I had ever met. I told my boys what an example he was for them. We also knew him through wrestling, my son was younger, but when we saw Daniel at a match, Daniel always said hello with a smile on his face. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Dan meant the world to so many people. He was the social butterfly of the class of 2012. His friends were everywhere- the shy girl in the hall, the football and wrestling teams and everyone in between. He was nice to everyone. I'll truly miss him. My heart goes out to his family, friends, and everyone lucky enough to have known him.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

Dan will be greatly missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He was a wonderful, kind young man, who could always make me laugh; my condolences go out to all of his family and friends.

I am so sorry for the loss of your precious son, Dan. I too have had this worst of all losses, and understand the pain. You will be in my thought and prayers always!

Although I never met your son Dan personally, he was a friend of my niece, Amy Carto. His lost is felt by many whose hearts break over such a tragedy and whose prayers you and your family are in. After this long and trying week, please remember your family will not be forgotten and will remain in the prayers of many and through the sadness fond memories will once again begin to bloom. I am at such a loss of what to say about Daniel. He, Lee, Emily & Ellen were my neighbors when he was about 8 years old. He was the sweetest funniest young boy - always a smile on his face. We will never forget the North Hills Middle School wrestling match in your 8th grade season. The look in your eyes when you and your father embraced after pining your opponent to help Pine-Richland upset the Indians. Your father screamed for you to hit "the bundle" and you executed the move with perfection, avenging an earlier defeat. May you rest in peace.
