It is with the greatest sorrow that we hear of Dan"s passing. Although Dan was a businessman providing construction services to my clients and often we were at odds over issues and completion deadlines or some detail of a contract, I always thought of Dan as an honourable and respectful associate and a true friend. Often our agreements and contracts were only signed with a handshake.Dan breathed and lived Construction and building things. He was a man of his word even if his decision was not befitting his bottom line. He was only satisfied doing the best on every project. Over the years I watched him mentor so many young men who went on to be excellent tradesmen and Construction businessman. I learned a lot about working with people from Dan. My time in New York ended in 1992 but over the years when ever I came back to NYC from our home in Canada, Dan would take time to have drink or share a meal with my wife and I. My wife Linda and I send sincere condolences to his family and rest assured that Dan will live on in our daily thoughts and challenges.
