In memory of
Howard Bard
April 25, 2003
Dear Barbara: I was very saddened to hear about Dan. I first met you both walking my little bichon J.C. past your house, and Maggie fell in love. We always stopped and talked when we walked our dogs, or saw each other gardening in the yard. We always talked gardening, and dogs, and sometimes politics. I will miss those talks; when good neighbors pass away it is very much like losing a member of your family.

Barbara, I am so, so sorry you lost Dan. He was a sweetheart of a man and deeply admired by everyone who knew him away-back-when. What a treat to have seen you both at our 50th. He looked wonderful (and, so did you!) You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Knowing Dan from all the way back to Tosa High days, Dan was always someone I enjoyed and wanted to get to know better. That was just as true at our 50th class reunion last August -- and always with a happy smile!

I knew Dan from Insignia Systems and he was a big part of my success with that company. I was sad to hear of his passing today and my thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
