Daniel J. Eiffe 04/05/2019 Daniel J. Eiffe, 71, of West Monroe, passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife and four sons on Friday, April 5th at the VA Medical Center, Syracuse, NY. Born in Utica, NY to George and Eileen Eiffe, Dan graduated from Rome Catholic High School in 1965. Following graduation he enlisted in the US Navy and proudly served his country from 1965 to 1971. In 1972 he married Nancy Huddleston and they moved to West Monroe. Dan is a charter member and past chief of the West Monroe VFD. He was a member of the NYS and Oswego County Fire Chief Assoc., West Monroe Republican Committee and served as County Legislator. Dan was actively involved as a coach in youth sports for many years. Dan's passions were his family, friends, community service and his Irish heritage. He is predeceased by his brother, David K. Eiffe, USN (lost at sea); his parents, Eileen and George H. Eiffe; and his infant son, Daniel. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Nancy Eiffe; four sons, David (Melanie), Jason (Nicole), Michael (Christina) and Ryan (Candice); eleven grandchildren; brothers, Michael and Patrick; sisters, Sr. Katie, Mary Ellen and Pam; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian burial will be Tuesday, April 9th, 10AM at Divine Mercy Parish, Central Square, NY. Burial will follow at the West Monroe Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday, April 8th from 4PM - 8PM at the West Monroe Vol. Fire Dept. Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the West Monroe Vol. Fire Dept.
