I was Dan's 5th grade teacher in 1984-85 at the Moore Township Elementary School. I remember him as a very gentle and kind young man who was a Boy Scout and wore his uniform proudly for class picture day. We reconnected a few years ago on Facebook and exchanged information several times since then. He also sent me some amazing pics of his love of the outdoors which I appreciated. I feel so sad that he lost his battle with cancer at such a young age, Rest in peace, Dan.

I met Dan in my sophomore year of high school. We sat next to each other in a class. From there, we eventually got to know each other and hung out with other friends. We spent many Friday and Saturday nights going to the movies, playing harmless pranks on each other and other unsuspecting people - my gosh, those were fun times.

I saw and heard from him sporadically over the years because our lives had gone in different directions, but I still considered him a friend. One day, I thought we would run into each other again. Time ran short.

Rest easy, Dan.

Dan was my adventure buddy. Hiking peaks in Arizona and Utah. Taking me to places that I would have never of found without him. His laughter was infectious. Great man. Love you and will miss your smiling face.

Dearest Dan, We have so many wonderful memories together - difficult to single any out. We all loved the time that you surprised Jacque when she was visiting in CA for Ron's baptism, our trip to the wine country and dinner at Brix. Then there was Antelope Canyon, Lake Powell, Emily's and Emma's graduations, Phoenix, Flagstaff, Christmas, Thanksgivings in Wilmington - oh, for just one more talk or hug. We love you and miss you, Dan. Till we meet you in eternity - our deepest love. Aunt Dianne and Ron

Fly free, my dear brother. I still cannot believe your beautiful light here on Earth was extinguished so soon. Until we meet again, rest in peace. I love you.
