Dan was one of the strogest men I ever knew, but he always got a gleam in his eye when talking about his family. I learned a lot from him and was proud to call him my friend.

Although I didn't know Dan, I spoke with him many times by telephone. I believe he was a caring and generous man who loved and deeply cared for his daughter and mother. May he rest in peace. My sincere condolences to his daughter and family.

Dear Danny, When I heard of your passing my first thought was that word you used so frequntly. "Unbelievable"! We met at corrections basic training in 1975 and immediately became friends for life. You were going to leave corrections for the postal service. I was going to be an electrician. But together we logged 57 years in that prison.
Oh, the things we saw, the things we did and the people we met. Together we have a lifetime of memories. On the job we had "the Hawk", T.P. on the I-beam, the gas can, and so much more. Then there was the '78 Trans AM, Brothers Brown, "pong", the G-Man and waxing the cars on a warm summer day.
You were my confidant and the the most trustworthy of friends. I will miss you more than words can express. Now two thirds of the 1976-1978 Mohawk 2-10 shift walks the tiers in heaven. May God bless and keep you until I walk with you and Big John again.
Mrs. Fry, Chelsea and Suzie....you are in my thoughts and prayers. He loved you all so very much.
Goodbye, dear friend. Though your body be at rest, your spirit will live on with all of us who have been so touched by your strength and kindness.

I met Dan in 1996 at SCI Camp Hill, and he was absolutely the best. So knowledgeable, so helpful, and above all I learned to know a little of Chelsea through him. He adored her. Very shocked to learn of his death. My condolences to the family.

What is Life?
"What is Life ? It is the flash of a firefly in the night.
It is the breath of a buffalo in the winter time.
It is the little shadow
which runs across the grass
and loses itself in the Sunset. "
My NDN Heritage, Oklahoma Creek-Cherokee.
I considered Danny a Friend and we worked together for years at SCI-Camp Hill.
