Anita H. Stebner

Anita Anna Hartstack Stebner died July 5, 2011, in Kingwood, Texas; she was 98. Anita was born in Washington County, Texas, to Olga and Edmund Hartstack. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers, Edwin and Elmer Hartstack. She married John Stebner in 1935, their daughter Priscilla was born in 1939, and the family moved to Houston in 1941. Her husband John died in 1983.

Anita showed her love for the people she cared about by being a gracious hostess, cooking grand meals and sharing her home with family and friends. The Stebner home was where everyone gathered to celebrate the events of life.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Priscilla and Gerald Weeden of Kingwood, Texas; granddaughter Stacy Weeden Cahak and her husband John of Houston; grandson Jason Weeden of Washington, D.C.; and great granddaughter Audrey Cahak and great grandson Evan Cahak of Houston.

The family will receive friends for visitation at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, July 9th, at Pat H. Foley Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be held at Prairie Lea Cemetery, in Brenham, Texas at 4:00 p.m. Pastor Donald Black of Trinity Lutheran Church will be officiating the services.

Anita was a long time member of Trinity Lutheran Church. The family requests memorials be made in her name to Trinity Lutheran Church, 800 Houston Avenue, Houston, TX 77007-7710.
