Daniel Frank Garrigan

Daniel "Dan" Frank Garrigan, age 63, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away January 11. 2025 unexpectedly. Dan was a graduate of Radford University with a BA in Business Administration. He was a veteran of the US Navy & Reserve with the rate of E-5 as an Aviation Boatswains Mate and a recipient of the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon. He was employed as an Environmental Project Manager. Preceded in death by father, Daniel P. Garrigan; mother, Catherine Carroll Garrigan; brother-in-law, Daniel North Gainer and sister, Laurie Garrigan McCowen. Dan is survived by wife, Sonja K. Nash Garrigan of Knoxville; sister, Nora Garrigan Gainer of Knoxville; brother, James "Jim" Garrigan of Knoxville, sister, Helen Mary (Holly) Garrigan of Baltimore, Maryland; brother, Thomas Carroll (Tom) Garrigan and wife Beth of Great Falls, VA; sister-in-law, Valorie Maples and husband Jim of Rutledge, TN; nieces and nephews, Patrick, Ryan and Drew McCowan, Jesse (Jessica) Gainer, Jackson (Ryan) Gainer, Alex Gainer, Amy Garrigan (Jesse) Burgesses, Kevin Garrigan, Mara (Tyler) Bull, Maddie (Caleb) Johnston; great nieces and nephews, Mackenzie Gainer, Ashlyn Gainer, McKenna Gainer, Gavin Gainer, Lily Bull, Palmer Johnston. also leaves behind many special friends and acquaintances that he gained throughout his life. Dan will forever be missed for his quirky humor, fun personality, contagious smile and unforgettable laughter. He was a best friend to many. Family and friends will meet at the East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, John Sevier on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at 12:30 PM for an interment service with full military honors.
