Dan was one of my favorite people that I’ve ever met. I had the pleasure of taking care of him and we became instant friends. He continuously made me laugh. Still does actually. Here it is March 2021 and I was thinking about Dan, and I learned of his passing. If I could say something to Dan right now, it would be “HEY ANDERSON!!!” An inside joke and a fun memory that will always make me smile

Daniel Grennan was my uncle. He was such a unique character. He was a generous, loving person with a razor sharp sense of humor. I connected with him in many ways. His love for the Yankees, his hysterical dry humorous wit, His love for music, (a fellow Beatles fan), our shared political perspective....But most importantly, he was a man who loved his children dearly and loved his family and friends. His love and devotion was to those close to him was such a central part of his life. His courage and strength was so inspiring during the trying latter part of his life. He never lost his strength and ability to find the good in his life and the love that surrounded him in his most difficult times. He will always be remembered for the love, humor generosity, and goodness he brought to everyone who were fortunate to know him. I was fortunate to have him as family...and was lucky to be able to call him Uncle Dan... Rest easy Uncle Dan....You are always loved and will always be with us...

Daniel was a resident at a facility I worked at and he really was one of those patients to sticks to you and I often thought about him even after he was discharged. We used to watch Yankee games together while I cared for him and he would always be on the phone with his family and tell them that not only was I his side but he considered me a friend. I, too, felt the same for him. I was very sorry to see his name in the Obituary. He always gushed about his kids and grandkids and was very proud of each and every one of them. I am going to miss him tremendously. RIP Mr. Grennan, from your favorite Aide and Friend. Love, Annie

I am completely shocked to hear the news of Daniel’s passing. Daniel grew on me and quickly became one of my favorite and most memorable patients. My favorite memories are the long talks about anything and everything since he was always so self aware and incredibly brilliant. Also, as soon as he entered the building he knew that if he could spot me I’d throw on his favorite iHeart Radio channel which never stopped playing. His laughter could be heard from far far away and was always contagious. To the family, you are in my prayers and just know he loved all of you tremendously

So sorry for your loss Grennan’s. Dan was always a welcome family member when he visited in Erie. I will always remember his unusual sense of humor and the way he made to feel special. May he rest in peace.
