I love you. A natural mentor among men.

Dan was truer to himself than almost any human I've ever known. I skied with him and loved our conversations. Still reflect on them. When I saw him off the hill, he was always so in the moment. I think I speak for everyone when I sayjust one more time. I just want one more conversation with Danny. See you in the ethereal.

The last time I was on a ski hill was with Dan. Very patient ski buddy, We must have been quite a sight, Dan 6'5 and me 5'6. Him swooshing, me "mooshing" I still have standing invite and his number in my pocket. Guess we will have make the next run on a different plain. Thanks Dan, it was a kick to know you. Craig.

With heartfelt sympathy to the family and friends of Danny. I remember you well in Ketchum during grade school. We weren't the best of friends but I always respected you , your sister and your parents. They were exceptionally wonderful people

Whatever exploits Danny was up to, it would never surprise me. There was only one Danny Gruener. Goodbye my dear old friend....

About fifteen years ago we were talking on motherload and I was telling about sailing a 470 in Greece. He mentioned that he had a 470 and in the end I bought it. We dragged it through the snow to the road with his pick up and for the next ten years I sailed that boat all the time. My buddy has it now but it turns out that it was the Swedish olympic boat from 72. I don't know how he got it but I still sail a 470 now in Sydney. A few days ago I was thinking about Dan, I don't know why but now I understand. We had some great times together and I will sorely miss him.
