In memory of
Anne Jarrett
March 15, 2010
Dear Hickey Family,
Please know that you are in my prayers as you grieve. I have such fond memories of all the time I spent as a child at the Hickey pool. I picture Danny's straight blond hair and smiling ways. My prayer is that you cherish the memories of your time with him here and take comfort in knowing that you'll see him again.
God bless.

Dear Mary and Joe, Anne Joe,Mary, Katy, Al,and Sue,We were heart broken when we heard about Dan. We are in Arizona for the winter so were sorry we could not be at his funeral. Please know that our prayers are with all of you. My memory of Dan was when the Hickey and the Oswald children dressed up and had a parade. He was always so cheerful and he brought a smile to everyone he touched.
God be with you,
Anne and Bob Oswald

Dear Aunt Mary, Uncle Joe and Family,
No one truly comprehends the loss that you feel and the sadness that you must be going through. My heart breaks for the loss of your beloved son, Dan.
I hope you find comfort knowing that Boomer touched all our lives.
Seashells remind me that every passing life leaves something beautiful behind.
Boomer certainly did with his most beautiful daughter, Caroline, and handsome son, Collin.
Please know that you are in my heart and prayers.

To the Hickey Family,
What devastating news to hear about Boomer. I am so sorry.
I have so many great memories of Dan. St. Matthews, mud fights on Eckman when you were building the pool, working for Mr. Hickey at Erskine Manor, an endless number of ND games, Marian, 3-a-day football practice….and many more. I’m pretty sure I spent more time at the Hickey House than my own for a while there.
It breaks my heart that I could not be there for the funeral. Dan was the best at everything he did. He was the best friend, best classmate, best teammate, best co-worker, everything. I feel blessed and privileged to have known him.
On behalf of the Hoff family, please know that you are all in our prayers.
God bless you Dan.

To the entire family and all of Boomer’s friends,
I was deeply saddened when I heard of the passing of Danny. My memories of him will be forever young. Many days and nights at the family home and school days at both St. Matthews and Marian High will always be with me, I often reflect on those happy memories. Your family has touched so many lives and we are all better people for having shared in that. There are no words I can say to ease your sorrow but I hope knowing the thoughts and prayers of so many may help to support you in your time of need. Boomer, thanks for the memories you will be missed but never forgotten, rest in peace.
Our thoughts are with you.
Peace and love!

Dear Hickey family~
I knew Danny "Boomer" from Marian as we both graduated in '81. His enthusiasm for life and quick wit made everyone laugh. :) More recently, occasionally I would run into him at a sport's camp at Saint Joe. His face lit up when talking about his children. He seemed to be a very dedicated father.
My prayers are with all of you, especially his children. I pray that God grant you strength, faith and courage in the coming difficult weeks and months. Please be comforted knowing the happiness he brought to every room he entered.
With deepest sympathy~

Dear Uncle Joe, Aunt Mary and the Family,
I still remember Dan when I used to visit while back at school. He filled the room with such joy and love, which became part of his nature that he continued to share with others throughout his life. His greatest love and joy were his children, which he learned and witnessed growing up in your home. This gift will live on through Collin and Caroline.
I cannot express how deeply saddened we feel about your loss. All of you will be in our prayers.
All our love,

Dear Uncle Joe and Aunt Mary,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief.
Dan was a wonderful man. Everyone who met him knew that his energy and friendship were boundless. Most importantly, Dan was a devoted father of two wonderful children, which is a tribute to you and your family.
He cherished Collin and Caroline, and took great delight in all their activities. I saw this first hand when I had dinner with him and the children last June.
May God bless you and your family.
