DJ I Remember:I remember the blue skies, winding brooks, and the carefree summer days of our youth.I remember the hours we spent riding Jenny's atc, the kdx's, riding the brooks and our burn out competitions in the cornfields.I remember singing "Good morning America how are you" in the back of Butch's f250. We must have sung it 100 times.I remember that "someday" that we would get the Harley dirt bike running and dreaming of riding it.I remember our fishing completions. The day we caught the same fish and tide. 2.5 fish each! DJ I remember. I remember your 16th birthday and all that fun with the gang... kind of.I remember racing the cream colored f150 against your 71 Chevy stepside. I remember our little tuffy where I ripped your shirt and you ripped mine. I remember the camper with all the sodas and how good they tasted, even though they were warm.I remember when we caught the "golden trout".I remember that big red wood truck and waving. You could see it coming from a mile away. That used to make my day.I remember the jobs that we did and your bumpy driveway that led to a mountain of wood.I remember you showing me your new state of the art splitter.I remember when we were younger, being on a wood delivery and your dad telling you he loved you. But DJ, I will never forget your little chuckle, your jolliness, and smile.Rest in Peace my fishing, motorcycle riding, wood cutting buddy. - Jayson Yost

Howard,and Mrs. Hollister
First let me say, my deepest sympathy for the loss of your son.
Howard, many years ago you and I were great friends, I can't remember which school we went too, either St Patrick's.or St Micheal's, this is going back to the early 1950's. I remember your mother used to give us a ride from or to your house on Blue Hills Ave. Time sure does fly, and the drive in movie behind behind your home, THE BLUE HILLS DRIVE IN MOVIE.

DJ was a beautiful soul with a gift of giving, as his farming family always did. Can't believe you have passed on, but God Speed.

DJ was an extraordinary man. There are many in the community who will deeply mourn his passing. I will always remember DJ's kindness and that special glowing smile, which was contagious with anyone he came in contact with. DJ, you will be dearly missed.
Our deepest condolences,

DJ was so good to my family. This is so unbelievable that he has left us much too soon. Talked about his daughter and his longtime partner all the time. Dan will be missed

How very saddened we are to hear of the news of DJ's death. He felt like a dear friend to us after delivering our wood every year for more than 10 years. He always took pride in his work and went out of his way to make sure we were satisfied customers and for that reason and more we had recommended him to so many people over the years. Come this Spring we will surely miss trading phone calls, his great smile, laugh, and lively conversation in our yard next to his dump truck. Our hearts and sincere prayers go to you his family over such a sudden loss at such a difficult time of the year. Rest in peace, DJ. You will be missed terribly.

I was so blessed to have been friends with DJ~ one of the kindest souls I've ever met!! He always came to help me and my kids when we lived in Rushford Meade - he made me laugh and always cheered me up! He took the time to talk on the phone for hours after the kids and I moved down here to Florida; always reassuring me I made the right move. What a loss:( He will be so greatly missed!!! My prayers are with his family ~ God Bless You~

Still can't believe he died. Been a customer for well over 20 yrs, he will missed, but every time I burn my wood this year, he will be remembered.

DJ brought me my first load of firewood as a birthday present from my wife. He was a gentle, kind man... you just got that when you met him.
And he got that from his dad. I had a long standing relationship with Howard during his years with AB Dick. I am sorry for your loss.
