Daniel Joy Hunter, age 93 of 79 Newell Drive, a real estate salesman since 1976 passed away on January 11, 2016 in Clearwater, FL. He was a Naval pilot and survivor of Pearl Harbor, retiring from the U.S. Navy after 20 years of service. He was a flight inspector for the Federal Aviation Administration, retiring in 1975.
He was a member of the Silver Eagles, Quiet Birdmen, FOPA, Blackstone Valley Board of Realtors, and Federal Retirees Association. He leaves two daughters, Diane Manganaro of Clearwater FL, and Lynda Webster of Bonita Springs FL; and a son, Daniel T. Hunter of Belmont MA, along with three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He leaves a sister hazel from Georgia. He enjoyed many wonderful years with his long time companion, the late Joan DiGregorio.
Born in Cranston RI of the late Thomas M. Hunter and Eva (Goff) Hunter of Largo FL. He lived in Cumberland RI since 1962. Burial will be at the Veterans Cemetery in Sarasota FL.

Dan was like a father to me. A great friend and mentor. We had the best times working together at Coleman Realtors...like a great big family. I had so much respect and love for Dan that I gave my daughter his middle name "Joy". We love you Dan. Rest inn Peace knowing you are so love by so many. Our condolences to your family xo

Dan and I met through the QBs. He was a true gentleman and I was proud to call him my friend. It was a sad day when I was informed of his passing.
He maybe gone but not forgotten.

A man of principle and a Gentleman, always dressed with such pride,. I enjoyed the time I spent with him especially our lunches. I knew him for 40 years and always had a high respect for his honesty and his integrity. I will miss him.
