Dan was born in Aberdeen, S.D., to Wayne and Joyce (Little) Klapperich on July 27,1964. After graduating from Conde High School, he moved to Salem, Ore. Searching for new adventures, he moved to Stagecoach, Nev., where he passed unexpectedly, far too early in his young iife.
Dan was brother, uncle and friend to so many. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, his wonderful smile, his gift of gab and his willingness to lend a hand whenever needed. He was a talented craftsman, with woodworking being his true passion in life.
Born second youngest brother to eleven other siblings, Dan will be dearly missed by Skip (Deb), of Conde, S.D.; David (Sonja), of Salem, Ore.; Phillip (Janelle), of Aberdeen, S.D.; Raymond, of Bend, Ore.; Neil (Cindy), of Oakes, N.D.; Virginia (Dave) Cahill, of Hazel Green, Wis.; Karen (Emmett) Keyser, of Pierre, S.D.; Deanna (Barry) Bawek, of Conde, S.D.; Peggy (Todd) Morton, of Milbank, S.D.; and youngest brother, Steve, of Salem, Ore. As well as a brother, he was uncle to 30 nieces and nephews.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Joyce Klapperich; his infant sister, Theresa; and nephew, Nathan Klapperich.
A memorial service was held in Carson City, Nev., and a celebration of life was held in Salem, Ore., in remembrance of Dan. Burial arrangements are pending for services in Conde, S.D.

Sorry to hear about Duke. We had lots of fun growing up in Conde. We really thought we were cool driving around in his red car. I will never forget those days.
