Daniel Lambert Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 15, 2015.
LAMBERT, Daniel Allan
(July 20th, 1953 – October 12th, 2015)
Our Dan died suddenly and tragically as the result of a motor vehicle accident. He was the first born son of Allan (Bud) and the late Wilma (Joan) Lambert (née Allin) and was a brother to Laurie Scattergood (John), Gary Lambert (Annette), Bill Lambert (Penny) and Rob Lambert. Husband to Irene Baran. His greatest joy was the love he held for his children Luke, Joshua, Laura and Jesse. He always spoke of them with great pride from the bottom of his heart. Starting at his father's side, Dan was a motorcycle mechanic from the age of 8, becoming one of the best. He found stability and purpose and was very happy as an employee of GP Bikes in Whitby. He particularly thrilled in the preparation for and participation in their 'track days'. With his most loving heart, a gentle soul and extremely forgiving nature he always found the best in everyone despite the pain they may have caused him. He understood more than he was given credit for and loved his family more than can be said. Too soon, too young. Funeral arrangements have been made with the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) with visitation on Friday, October 16th, 2015 from 6 – 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, October 17th, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. Interment Mount Lawn Memorial Gardens, Whitby. Memorial donations to the International Dyslexia Association – Ontario Branch or The Embassy of the Kingdom of God (Taunton Road, Oshawa) would be greatly appreciated.

I just learned today of your loss. I am so sorry and so sad to hear of Dan's passing. I met Dan at GP Bikes, when he worked on my Triumph Daytona, and got to know him better when we rode together at track days. Dan was a truly wonderful & good human being--one of the best. I will miss Dan as I know so many others will. His knowledge, humility & generosity were deeply inspiring for me. He had a great heart and a wonderful sense of humour. Again, I'm so sorry to hear of his unexpected and sudden passing. Please accept my condolences.

So sad....we were out the same day for a bike ride, not too far from where the accident happened....Our sincere heartfelt sympathy to the family and all his friends, he worked on our bikes too, a fantastic man, who is going to be missed so much by everyone....

Sincere condolences to Dan's family. I was fortunate to have been a co-worker to this gracious, eager-to-help guy as well as a customer. As the shock of his passing eventually becomes less painful, I know that the memory of his smiling honesty will fill the huge void that Dan has left.
