In memory of
Linda Leck
August 13, 2007
My heart is with you both. Your dad loved you and thought about you all the time. He was proud the day you were born and I know he was proud of you both the day he went to be with the lord in his thousand acre hunting land, with 12pt.deer ,and tasty pheasants flying. He was a very good friend;my best. 'I went to a friend and said,"I have tears to be shed.My friend turned to me and said,"Come to me,Come to me.".I went back to my friend and said,"I now have laughter to deploy." My friend looked at me and said,"Let us now go and enjoy, enjoy." Your daddy will be loved and missed.I Love you.

My most favorite memory of Dan is of one time at a large family camp-out. Around dusk, we both took off for a little ride in my 1971 Datsun 240Z. We ended up driving on dirt trails all night long, not arriving back at camp until daybreak. We just keep switching seats from driver to passenger then back to driver again. We had such a blast. I think each and every time Dan and I ran into each other after that, our little 45 mile or so trip was sure to come up in conversation.
Like my brother Steve said, I too had more opportunities to visit with Dan that I didn't take advantage of and now greatly regret.
Just know that Dan is in our hearts and in our prayers.

I have the most wonderful memories of Dan. Like camping in Northern Mi and the UP in his van, riding on his motorcycle, listening to him play Beatles songs and pick Spanish guitar. Dan actually gave me my first rifle--a single-shot, bolt action .22 that I used for years.
Dan was a solid influence in my early life and for that I will always be grateful. I extend sincere condolences to Missy, Mandy. Also to Allie Rose, who will not have a chance to know the person we knew. Also to his friends, especially Steve Duso, with who I knew Dan was best friends.
I had the opportunity to visit Dan just a few weeks before his death but didn't make the time, a decision I will always regret. Life is too short. Things don't matter--people do.

Danny,
It's hard to believe you are now in a different place. We had shared so much in our early years - laughs,
tears, schools - and most important --- a family. You were the brother I never had --- and I'll never forget you. Till we meet
again -
Love,
Mouse
