Daniel A. LeComte

Daniel A. LeComte, 64, of 21572 Golden Drive, Meadville, passed away Friday, June 12, 2009, at Meadville Medical Center.Daniel was born in Meadville on March 3, 1945, a son of the late Elmer and Meri Kay Vaughn LeComte. On Aug. 26, 1967, Daniel married Beverly Condek; she survives.A part-time employee of Advance Auto Parts, Meadville, Daniel had previously been employed by the former Avtex Corp., the former Talon Inc. and Molded Fiberglass, all of Meadville. Graduating from Meadville Area Senior High School in 1963, Daniel also attended Edinboro State College for more than three years. A U.S. Navy veteran, he served as a communications technician until his honorable discharge in 1968.A softball enthusiast, Daniel began playing softball in 1969 and eventually began to umpire until the present time. In his earlier years he enjoyed golfing, bowling and deer hunting. He loved to travel to all of the local county and community fairs.In addition to his wife, Beverly, of 41 years, Daniel is survived by a daughter, Michele Estadt and her husband, Bob, of Annandale, Va.; a grandson, Jeffrey Estadt; and a brother, Thomas LeComte and his wife, Mary, of Wadena, Minn.In addition to his parents, Daniel was also preceded in death by his stepfather, John W. McGinnis; and his stepmother Maxine LeComte.At the family's, request there will be no visitation.A memorial service with full military honors will be conducted at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville, at 6 p.m. on Thursday, with the Rev.
