I last saw Dan when I left WMU in 1970 but never forgot him and his adventurous soul. Peace.

Memories of a client: What a wonderful man we have lost. I remember his warm smiles at every visit, his encouraging words and warm hugs. It was always fun to visit with "Dr. Lipke", and he always had a great story to tell. My sincere sympathies to his family and friends.

Dr. Lipke was one-of-a-kind. I was so sad to hear the news of his death. I have known him since I was about 8 yrs.old when he worked with my mom at McGill - and he helped me improve my smile when I decided I wanted braces at 30 yrs.old 7 yrs ago. He even convinced me to wear colored elastics on my braces even though I wasn't one of his youngest patients. I always looked forward to my visits with him - he always made me laugh, had great words of wisdom and remembered many things about my life that I often wanted to forget! I regret missing my last appointment with him 2 days before my wedding this summer - I am sure he would have offered some words of wisdom or help make me laugh and relax. People often asked me, why do you still see your orthodontist - I think I just wanted to keep seeing him because he could always brighten up the day with a great laugh or story about a trip or a meal he recently had. He was such a warm and sincere soul - I will miss him greatly.
My deepest condolences to his family and friends.

Dr. Lipke was one of the handful of male figures that truly impressed me. He was a part of our family for as long as I can remember, and always offered an enlightening, witty thought to brighten up a day, or simply catch one offguard for effect! I extend my warmest, deepest sympathies to his family.

Thanks to Dr. Lipke for giving me back my smile. He was my orthodontist during 1980 and 1981. I will always be thankful that he removed my braces two days before my wedding! He was a great man and I always enjoyed his sense of humor. My deepest sympathy to all the family.

It is with great sadness that I learned of Dan's death. Although not having been in touch with Dan and Svet for the last number of years, Dan was a dear friend, and and was always there in my heart. Dan was generous, smart, loyal, had a great sense of humor, was a great chef (he catered my wedding), and was a devoted friend. I'll miss you, Dan.
