My condolences to my wonderful Pittsburgh family. While I know I have been out of touch, you have not been out of mind. While I am saddened by my Uncle's passing, I am also fortunate to have so many good memories. He was always so welcoming and kind to me, even when Drew and I were fighting about something. Yes, Drew you remember those times.
I am very sorry I could not be there, but I am thinking of you.

I have the best memories of the times I spent with him and my Aunt..
It's with a heavy heart I will be praying today, because I would have wanted nothing more than to be able to make it to Pittsburgh for his service , but time and distance has prevented it..

Though circumstances are keeping me from being there with you in person to say goodbye to my uncle and Godfather, the family is in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Time and miles have come between us in recent years, but I have great memories of childhood times spent with my uncle and family. Though we are saddened by his passing, we can also look back and celebrate the life of a good man.

Saddened by the passing of my dear brother.
Unfortunately timing and distance are keeping me from personally attending his funeral. My heart and thoughts are with our family at this time
I look back fondly to the years my brother and I had together. He was always there for me as the " BIG BROTHER".
Even though in recent years we were separated by many miles , he was always in my thoughts and prayers....

Our prayers goes out to Daniel's family, at this time, since I dearly remembered how great his parents were to me while growing up next door to them, in a large old double house on Boggs Ave. When I was a preteen, our family was invited to a wedding at Gateway Center by his parents.

Just the mention of his family's name brings back memories of Lena growing tomatoes and cooking wonderful dishes for her family.

We know that Daniel will be in heaven with his parents at peace.

Unfortunately I never had the pleasure of meeting Daniel Mariano but knowing how his son Drew is, Mr. Mariano must have been an extraordinary gentleman. As a parent of 2 young boys, I could only hope my children are as caring and loving as Drew. My deepest sympathies go out to the Mariano Family.
