Daniel McGuinness Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 19, 2025.
Daniel Patrick "MUGSY" McGuinness, 65, passed away on August 5, 2025, in St. Augustine, Florida.

Born on September 17, 1959, in Stanford, Connecticut, Mugsy brought a vibrant energy into the world that would later define his presence both on and off the stage. Known to many as "MUGSY," he became a beloved and notorious figure in the St. Augustine music scene-a front man whose charisma and talent left an indelible mark on the community.

As a musician and performer, MUGSY captivated audiences with his dynamic stage presence and unmistakable voice. His passion for music was more than a profession-it was a way of life that resonated deeply with those who heard him play. Whether leading a band or performing solo, he brought people together through rhythm, melody, and raw emotion.

Outside of music, Mugs found peace and joy in nature. He cherished time spent in the woods or by the beach-places where he could reflect, recharge, and connect with the world around him. These quiet moments balanced the electric energy he brought to his performances.

Daniel Patrick McGuinness will be remembered not only for his musical legacy but also for the spirit he shared with those around him. His absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him.

May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and inspiration to those who continue to follow their own rhythm. A Memorial Service will be held on August 24, 2025, from 06:30 AM to 09:00 PM at CROWBAR 7-19 Pellicer Lane. This will be an open jam bring your instrument
