Daniel Mennecke Obituary
Daniel was born on June 26, 1978 in Erie, Pa. He received his G.E.D and continued his education at Tri-State Institute for Welding and also did roofing until his accident in May 2011. He was also an amazing and wonderful father, son, brother, uncle and a great friend.
Daniel is survived most importantly, by his children Jobe, Noble, and Trevor Mennecke. He is further survived by his mother Gail Mennecke, father John Gaerttner, brothers Joe Mennecke (wife Andrea Mennecke) and John "J.J." Mennecke, sisters Nicole Mennecke and Amanda Gaerttner, and his girlfriend Michele Inman (daughter Arianna). He is also survived by his nephews, niece, cousins, goddaughters and lots of family and friends who all loved him very much.
Daniel was preceded in death by his grandparents, Rose E. Mennecke, Walter R. Mennecke Sr. and Margaret "Peggy" Gaerttner, Charles L. Gaerttner Sr. and many other family members from both sides of his family.
The service was held at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery on Saturday, April 17, 2021. Pastor Luke of Grace Fellowship officiated. Funeral arrangements were handled by Dusckas Funeral Home.
Daniel's family wishes to thank Dusckas Funeral Home and Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery. A very special thanks to the family and friends for all the help they provided during this difficult time for the family.

My big brother, my friend, my protector.... I'm not sure how to accept that im not gonna see you here in the physical world anymore. But I do know I no longer fear the end, bcus I Kno u will b there w open arms. You were one of a kind. A great man, w a kind heart! I will always carry on ur memory and help your boys with whatever they may need! I feel bad for you as My guardian angel . Your probly stressed tf out already! I'm sorry, I'll make u proud. R.I.P. Dan. Dan was such a great uncle to my son. Anytime I needed a hand with Justin he was just a phone call away. He always made me feel welcome and I’ll never forget the day I found out I was pregnant he came and picked us up and cooked me a big steak on the grill and offered me everything but the kitchen sink. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.

Dan was the love of my life. Literally my soulmate. We were always meant to be together and I’m so happy I got to spend the last few years of his amazing life everyday with him. He was so caring and loving. And always made sure I knew how much he loved me. He treated me like a Queen and I just wish we could have grown old and wrinkly together. I miss you so very much and believe me when I say you will never be forgotten until we meet again and we can be together again. Love you baby.

You always made me and X feel like family, from sleepovers, dinners, or just hours talking philosophy(well your philosophy lol) You and Bina welcomed X and I with open arms and made us a part of your family, you always kept Jay's memory alive for X, he always loved a good dad story, we will forever remember the good times when we were all so close ♡Thanks for the memories♡
