Daniel Monroe Obituary
Daniel C. Monroe of Huntsville died Saturday. He was 69. Mr. Monroe was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, member of the Von Braun Lions, Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion and Solar Masonic Lodge. He was a professional educator with the Missile and Munitions School. He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel Joseph and Gwendolyn Monroe. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Monroe; two sons, Patrick Monroe of Dallas and Randall Monroe of Huntsville; and two step-grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Valhalla Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of Valhalla Funeral Home with Rev. Craig Whisenant officiating. Entombment will follow in Valhalla Memorial Gardens with Masonic Rights.
