Daniel Nance Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 26, 2023.
Daniel J. Nance

He peacefully strolled from this world with a song in his heart and a smile on his face. Dan Nance made his last call on August 1, 2023. He was surrounded by family and friends when he quietly slipped out. So quietly, in fact, that a few of us believe he'll be back.

Dan was born in Gadsden, Alabama and moved to California when he was a child. He attended local schools and became a member of Theater Machine in the early 70's and starred in a local cable series, "The Slice of Life". He spent many years performing and singing throughout Northern California with his group "Last Call".

He is reunited with many family members who exited before him: his parents, T and Nancy, sisters Margaret, Mary, Wanda,

Janice, Brenda, brother Kenneth, nephews Kenny and Dale. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Marci, sister Jannie, nephew John with wife, Tuesday, good friends Tudi and B.A. and countless neices and nephews.

Danny, you brought joy and laughter to everyone you met and are loved more than we can express. You will be in our hearts forever.

Celebration of Life will be on his birthday, September 17. For location and time please call 707-853-0537. In lieu of flowers please donate to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

First time I met Dan my good friend Rhonda introduced me. Dan was playing music and singing. I have to say it was a evening I'll never forget. Dan sang song after song. I must say he was amazing. Rhonda shared his music CD, she was a true fan. Rest in Peace Dan

Dan was a great guy. He always made you laugh. Everyone that met him, loved him. He was such a talented singer, especially doing Elvis' songs. The world will not be the same without him. Dan, you will be greatly missed by all. Rhonda Hoehn

Every moment spent with Dan was a memory made. He is greatly missed as he was one special person in my life. I never met a funnier, caring, full of life, generous, kind hearted, genuine and loyal friend as i found in Dan. My world has a big void now with his absense and will never be the same.

I´m so sorry to hear about Dan passing. It´s unbelievable. The world will never be the same. He was a gift. He spread joy and laughter wherever he went. He was talented and creative. I love his support and concern he gave me and will miss him so much. Gone too soon. Love you , Karen

50 years I knew this man. Well he was barely a man when we met. lol Theater Machine and a washing machine brought us together. Grateful to have had him in my live for all these years. Dan I am happy I was able to see your smiling face and hug you just days before you exited the stage for the last time.
