I have just found out Danny passed. I first met Danny through a friend. It has been years, but still remember his wonderful personality and Grilling ability! He is,I am sure, deeply missed. He was a really good man and friend, thinking about everyone else first. To his wife, "Love is always there for you" and for the children "Your father loved you so very much, you were his life". Back in the day we were friends and he talked a lot about the kids. Time passes, but friends never forget. Blessings to the entire family. Your Dad, Husband, Granddad, and friend was a wonderful giving person.

We lived in the same neighborhood through the 10th grade. This is such a sad thing to me. My heart goes out to Danny’s family. We had too much fun as kids. I wish I had a dollar for every time I took the short cut through Delores William’s backyard to go to Danny’s and play football, baseball or whatever. Things I remember best: His dad would drop us off at the Pensacola Beach fishing pier on the weekends where we’d fish all day long and never seem to get tired of it; Skim boarding in Carpenters Creek; Painting cockroaches with white spray paint; Chasing and stalking girls at Town and Country Plaza when we were supposed to be racing slot cars across the street; Stealing beer and whiskey from my dad on New Year's Eve in the 8th grade, mixing them all together and dumping it in the street because it tasted so bad; Making gun powder to power rockets that didn’t go anywhere, but they sure did burn and stink really bad. Sorry you’re gone. I know you’ll be missed.

We lived behind Danny and his family growing up. I use to jump his fence to visit all my friends on that side of the street. We were all great childhood buddies back then .
We ran into each other occasionally through the years and talked about the funs times we use to have in
Highland Terrace. Danny will always hold one special memory for me... I laugh as I write this.
He was my first practice kiss. lol Yes, I said practice.
I was at Walgreens downtown one Saturday with several girlfriends having a cherry cola when I was told that this certain boy I had a crush on was going to ask me to the 8th grade prom. I was so excited until one of my girlfriends asked me if I was going to french kiss him. I began to panic as I didn't know how to real kiss.
Danny stood up and said," I'll show you" . You Will? I said, and he led me into the photo booth where he proceeded to show me how to kiss.
Yes, I went on my prom date and was confident to really kiss my soon to be boyfriend, thanks to Danny! lol
I told my husband of 35 years this story as he knew Danny too. When they would run into each other , Danny would say... Hey, you know I taught your wife how to kiss and my husband would say...yes, and I perfected it.
Oh, how wonderful childhood memories are and Danny will always be a part of mine. I am sadden by your loss. I know he was proud of his family. God bless

I first met Danny at Workman Junior High School in the 60's. He was on the football team that was undefeated one of the three years that we attended, and he was always very a very popular guy. It has been 15 or 20 years since I saw him last, but we recognized each other right off and chatted about old times. We had a lot of mutual acquaintances, even though we were not the closest of friends. My condolences to his family...I know that he will be missed.

I will truly miss our golf outings together with a wonderful gentleman. I will also miss seeing a father and son having fun together. Being a plumber myself, it is sad to see us losing another genuine tradesman. My deepest condolences to the entire Rawson family.

It has been so many years since I last saw Danny, but I remember him so well from when we were boys playing football in the backyard. I am so sorry to hear that he passed away. All of you, his family, have my deepest sympathy.
