It's been 1 week today...and it already seems like forever. Your sense of humor will be truly missed. I will hold you in my heart and memories FOREVER. You were the 1st and most important man in my life. No more worries for you. Rest in peace. I love you!!

I was sorry to hear about the passing of Uncle Dan. I can't imagine the grief you must be feeling at so great a loss. You have my deepest condolences. I will always remember Uncle Dan as a man of quiet warmth and kindness, a truly good man whom I very much enjoyed being around. I am already missing him very much. I can't imagine how much you are missing him. I wish I could be there for the funeral. Know that in my mind and heart the memory of Uncle Dan is cherished fondly and will be forever, and that I am praying for him and you all and will continue to do so, with firm hope that he is safe in the arms of the Father, and reunited with loved ones who have gone before him.

uncle dan was a wonderful man. he was funny, genuine, and easy to talk to. i will certainly miss him. my thoughts and prayers are with you all and i wish i could be there but I send all my love and prayers

Nancy, There really are no words that I can give you during this difficult time other than to let you know that I continue to pray for you and the girls. We all started a new journey back at the end of June when your dad and my dad died. Now you begin another journey knowing that you had 33 wonderful years with Dan. A family is composed of many things, parents, siblings, children... but its not the physical bond that makes us. Its the emotional bond that makes our family what it is. Just because we can't see doesn't mean he's not here. Just because we can't hear doesn't mean he's not speaking to us. Lets not mourn our loss, but celebrate his life. It was very hard to have gone through the loss of our father and now you are going through the loss of your husband and our brother-in-law. Remember, you are not alone, we are here for you. I find comfort in knowing that Dan and Dad are together in heaven. I am going to miss his funny sense of humor. He was truly a great guy and will be forever missed.
