Daniel R. Rooney ELGIN Service for Daniel Roger Rooney, 76, will be celebrated at a private service. Memorials may be made to The Church Health Center, 1210 Peabody Ave., Memphis, TN 38104. Mr. Rooney died Tuesday, February 26, 2013, entered his rest and peace. Born in Utica, N.Y., he was a son of the late Robert and Mary Rooney. He was a loving husband and father who lived a long and happy life. As "Johnny Hot Tomato" would say, we love you "Jimmy." The family expresses their special thanks to Bill, Annette and Jack for their care and concern. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Nancy Elizabeth Rooney; sons, Peter Rooney of Elgin and Eric Rooney (Cindy) of Uniontown, Ohio; daughter, Amy Thompson (Mark) of Greenville, S.C.; four grandchildren, Tracey Rooney, Rachel Davis (Lipscomb), Madeline Rooney and Thomas Rooney; and one great-grandchild, eilee Clapp. He was predeceased by brothers, David Rooney and Robert Rooney.
