Dan gives me a smile. I work for Dan at Wilson in Northern lights. We used to go to the Bob park after work to see the last three or four innings in a game. Dan knew a gatekeeper who would let us in named Joe. Really enjoyed those summer nights after work. I cherish them in my memory. He´s enjoying his cigars in heaven directing somebody to do something lol

Carl & Liz, you both played a very important role in Dan's life & care, our sympathy for his loss. Danny was "one of the all time greats". We will all miss his wit, many stories, opinions, knowledge of sports & scores, advice on parlays (in the past) & general gossip. Heaven may never be quite the same. Stan & Pat, Fayetteville, NY

I worked with Dan at Wilsons in the late 60's.He is the only person I've ever seen sell a diamond while smoking a cigar. We would go the the ends of the earth for a sale. With Dan, unlike a lot of other people, what you saw is what you got. That was great because you always knew where he stood. We use to work plaza hours back then.(12-9) Monday - Friday and (10-6) on Sat. with Sun. off. During the week when the Syracuse Chiefs were in town we would leave work at nine and catch the last 3 innings of the game at the old stadium. One night we were there and saw,I believe it was Richie Zisk hit one over the Green Monster (434). What a Rush. Another time I was invited to his house to watch the Giants and the Cowboys and had some of his wife,s great apple pie. When I left Wilsons I did,t keep in touch, but I ran into him at Wegmans about a year ago. Dan hadn't change a bit. You ether like him or found his abrasive. I Like His.
He was a good guy and Loved his Wife. Oh, did I say he was one of a kind.
My prayers go to the family

Danny was a special person. I always remember him letting me play Softball with the older guys. I saw him everywhere in SYR for 35 years and he was always upbeat. A SYR icon that will be missed by all who knew him.
