I know Uncle Dan has been dealing with health issues for some time now, but it is always so sudden when you lose someone. He so loved his children and grandchildren, and that is what you mourn for the most. Glad we have victory over the grave through the blood of Jesus Christ!

As the oldest cousin in the Sarco clan, I remember Uncle Dan from back when he was still fairly young and healthy. Uncle Dan was always so interested in what I had going on, as I matured, was going to college, getting married, etc. Genuine interest, genuine caring, always in a good mood despite going through various difficult situations personally.

While it is a painful loss to all of us who loved him, Praise God for yet another child of the Lord is home and is out of this painful, wicked world.

Prayers for all, God Bless.

Uncle Dan was a sweet, kind, thoughtful person. He was quiet and gentle, and often made terrible jokes. But I could tell how much he loved his family--that was the thing that shone through all of his actions. We will all miss him very much.

I am grateful to the kind people who held his hand and comforted him in his last moments, and I am grateful for my cousins and all my Sarco family who carry on his memory by being generous, warm, good-hearted people.

With love to all, Malaika Sarco-Thomas

I met Dan for the first time in November 1978 as a new staff member in the RT department at RMH. Dan was one of the reasons I chose RT school over nursing. He was very proud of his profession and will be missed. Family, even though i may have not met you i knew you because Dan talked about you often and loved you dearly. My prayers are with you! I really didn't know this gentleman but a few minutes. We were both in the Goodwill in Verona on May 3 , It was my birthday and I was shopping there. While I was there we spoke and said hello. He seemed like a very nice person. When he got sick. I was there with him because God spoke to me and said please help this person. I went over and I picked up his hand and was taking his pulse. There we're 3 of us with him. I held his hand and I prayed for him. I stayed there until the squad came holding his hand. I'm not trying to be hurtful I just wanted you all to know he wasn't alone and he was getting the best help we all could do. I'm very sorry for your loss. God Bless you all. May you find some peace and comfort in the coming days.

I didn't know this gentleman until May 3. I feel I had to let you know I had just went into Goodwill in Verona to shop. It was my 65 birthday. I spoke to Dan while I was shopping around. He was a very friendly person. I was with him when this happened. God told me to go over and check on him and stay with him . I keep holding his hand and checking his pulse while people were talking to him. I stayed and held on to his hand until the squad came and I prayed hard for him. I have never did anything like this ever, but I got a calling from God and I got one today to let you know this. I'm sorry for your loss. My comfort and prayers are with all of your families. God Bless..

I am so sorry to read about his death. I became acquainted with him at RMH when I worked there and found that he was a brother to Nancy, my friend from school. My husband graduated with Ida Sue and we see her occasionally. Again, our sympathies.
