Daniel Stam Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Dec. 16 to Dec. 20, 2020.
Daniel Lee Stam

Andover, MN - Daniel Lee Stam of Andover, MN, went peacefully into his Lord's arms on December 13, 2020. Dan was born on February 11, 1936, to Wilhelmina (Bauer) Stam and John Stam in Milwaukee, WI.

Dan graduated from high school in 1954 in Milwaukee and served in the US Naval Reserve from 1954-1956. He was a journeyman sheetmetal worker and a member of the Sheetmetal Workers Union before retiring in 1988.

Dan married Mary Evangeline Stam in 1965. He was a loving husband and father who enjoyed home improvement and landscaping projects. He enjoyed bird-watching and liked to play cards and pool and to listen to classic country music. Family pets were well-loved by Dan. He was quick with a smile and a joke or a story, and found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Dan will be deeply missed.

Dan is survived by his wife Mary, children Pamela (Larry) Larsen, Cheri (Gerald) Hanson, and Jon (Marcia) Stam, grandchildren David and Katherine Larsen, Taylor (Jacob) Ellefson, and Brenna Stam, and sister Donna Allen.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Della Hennig, and brother, Robert Stam.

Dan will be laid to rest at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls, MN. In lieu of a service, there will be a private family gathering to honor him and the life he lived. Cards may be sent to the Gearhart Anoka Funeral Home - 552 East River Road Anoka, MN 55303
