Dan and I were good neighbors and friends for many years. It was a joy to have know Such an accomplished gentleman. We would sit for hours conversing and sharing wine. I´ll always think of Dan and his garden when I come across morning glories! And I´ll always remember digging him out of countless snow storms. Thanks Dan! Would love to celebrate his life w/ all who knew him.

As a member of the Jones/Barlow side of the family, we would love to know when a celebration of his life is set to take place.

What an amazing presence! His mother and my grandmother were very good friends and that connected us initially. I will always remember him fondly!

Uncle Daniel never failed to bring something fascinating to our get togethers. Among his many talents was his ability to make a very shy god daughter always feel special. I will miss his intelligence and wonderful humor.

Danny was very special to all of us. We will forever hold his memory dear to our hearts. My mother and he were "kissing cousins" as they use to stay. We all kept in touch over the years. I´m sad to have missed talking to him on his last birthday. He will be sorely missed by many. RIP.

I am a photojournalist and met Dan thru our mutual late friend Robert M.(Mac) Do. Upon returning from an assignment in S.E. Asia for National Geo. in May 1963. I worked with Dan on one NBC documentary western cowboy artist, Charlie Russell. After Dan left NYC we kept in touch and I visited him whenever I was in Boston. I had the privilege of connecting with Dan a few years ago. After doing some research on my father´s life, I found Dan. My great aunt was his nanny in Newport and Alabama. She was a big part of his life. Dan was delighted to share many childhood memories from that time. He was able to give me details of my dad´s early childhood. What a gift it was to have found Dan.

My next door neighbor for umpteen years, he was a genuine humble gentleman, always made of me much more than what I am.
