Daniel Weber Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Sep. 29 to Sep. 30, 2007.
WEBER, Daniel W.
Daniel Weber was born April 12, 1935, in Chicago, Ill. He passed away at home on September 25, 2007 surrounded by his loving wife and daughter. He fought a courageous battle against heart disease, Alzheimer's, and cancer. Danny joined the Air Force in the Radio Technology unit and was stationed in Greenland. After the Air Force, Danny began a career in Insurance where he rose to the position of Asst. Vice President at Marsh & McLennan in San Francisco. After spending more than 20 years in the Bay Area, Danny moved from Moraga to El Dorado Hills to be closer to his daughter, son-in-law, and to watch his grandsons grow up. He enjoyed golfing, bicycling, and reading, but nothing gave him greater joy than to be with his family. Danny was always the perfect gentlemen whose quick wit will never be forgotten. He is survived by his wife Jonnie of 48 years, daughter Patricia Prestegard, son-in-law Eric Prestegard, and beloved grandsons Parker and Ryan. Danny is also survived by his sister Norene Glitto of Chicago, her husband Dan, nieces and nephews, and the finest friends one could hope for. Danny was preceded in death by his son Michael John. Danny once read the line "Sorrow is not forever, Love is" and he truly believed it. He will be tremendously missed as to know him was to love him. Family and friends are welcome to attend a mass at Holy Trinity Church in El Dorado Hills on Tuesday October 2nd at 10:30 AM, with a viewing to precede the mass from 9:30 AM to 10:20 PM. A reception will be held at Serrano Country Club at 5005 Serrano Parkway in El Dorado Hills immediately following the mass. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that remembrances be sent to Snowline Hospice at 6520 Pleasant Valley Road, Diamond Springs, CA 95619 or the American Heart Association at 2007 O Street, Sacramento, CA 95811.
