Daniel Webinger Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 12, 2025.
Daniel Lawrence Webinger age 60, passed away on June 29, 2025 at his sister's home in Maple Grove MN surrounded by loved ones. He died from a short bout of end stage heart failure. Born on March 20, 1965 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Dan grew up in New Hope MN then lived in various cities before residing in Grand Rapids Minnesota for the last six years of his life.

A graduate of Cooper High School. Dan went on to work a variety of jobs throughout his life. Many of these roles were in manufacturing, assembly, and inventory-fields where he applied his steady work ethic and hands-on skills.

Dan had a deep love for the outdoors and cherished time spent fishing and camping with friends and family. He was an avid sports fan who rarely missed a game played by his beloved Minnesota Twins or Vikings. Whether it was baseball season or football Sundays, Dan could be found cheering on his teams with unwavering loyalty.

His two dogs, Minnie and Apache, held a special place in his heart. He enjoyed taking them for walks around the farm where he also helped take care of fourteen goats. In quieter moments at home, Dan found joy in completing puzzles-assembling dozens of 1,000-piece puzzles over the past few years. He also treasured time spent with loved ones and was happiest when surrounded by family and friends. He helped take care of his father almost everyday in hospice before he passed. He especially had a special bond with his nephew Joshua who also lives on the farm in Grand Rapids. They enjoyed many memories and activities in Northern MN.

Dan is survived by his sisters Lisa (John) Weidt, Cindy (Bill) Pulles, and Kristi (Bob) Spawn; nephews Troy (Laura) Svien, and Joshua Randall, niece Rene Randall, great-nephews Tyler, Aaron, Evan, and Ryan Svien, and great-nieces, Bryn Roy, and Joleigh.

He was preceded in death by his loving parents, mother Janice Webinger and father Lawrence Webinger.

Dan "Danny" was deeply loved by those who knew him-family members, friends, and his loyal dogs alike. His memory will live on through the many lives he touched with his warmth and companionship.

May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him. A burial of his cremated ashes along with a burial of his mother and father's cremated ashes will be held on August 2, 2025 at 2:00pm at Forest Hill Cemetery, 621 Church St, Anoka MN 55303, followed by a Celebration of Life at 3:00pm after burial at Green Haven Golf Course Ballroom C, 2800 Greenhaven Rd Anoka MN 55303. If you would like to wear your favorite sports team shirt/jersey especially Twins baseball or Vikings football to honor Dan "Danny", feel welcome too.

Thank you so much Erv for your thoughts. We had the memorial today and it was great to talk to friends and relatives about Danny and share the old and recent stories. There was so much said and things left unsaid. I miss him so much and today was hard and heartfelt. Danny was a character and always left a good impression. He was faithful to his family and friends, and I am left with gratitude to all who loved him and shared their lives with him.
