I know we were not the best of friends, but I am so sorry to hear what happened. I just found out two days ago, when I saw your stone at the childrens park, and I asked Candice if she had heard. She had told me then, and my heart just fell. I know we kinda fought alot when we were in the intermediate school together. I am so sorry. Its so hard to believe that you are gone. Its not fair; its not right; she was so nice. God has her now way up in the sky. i hope one day we can see her fly. She was like an angel with her wings. Her baby boy will be without her, but we will know she loves him and he's not alone. we all miss her no matter what we do or what we say. There are few regrets I have had in my life but as I grow older it becomes apparent that the biggest regret is not spending enough time with those whom I love and who have truly impacted my life. Danielle, it seems like just yesterday we were tryin out for Golden Girls. I remember the whole week we were so excited. that friday came around and we were so nervous. (for nothing) we had made it girl. i told the girls before we tried out that i wanted you for my lil sis. i was so excited. i wasnt goin to let anyone else have you. we were look alikes at tryouts and everyone got us confused. it was so funny. we turned round and round at tryouts just for them to figure out which was which. drill team was so much fun last year with you i wouldnt change 06-07 drill team year one bit. i will always remember your beautiful smile. you were always so happy no matter what was goin on. i am sorry i wasnt there for you during your pregnancy i feel so bad. i dont understand yet why you had to go and i still dont quit believe it. its not fair. i went to your memorial service, your visitation, and your funeral. and men did it hit me hard at your funeral. i saw you just laying there and i know it sounds funny but i just expected you to just sit up and be fine. i dont think i will ever really understand why it had to be you. but i do know i will be seeing you someday. and i cant wait. i miss you so much and i will be at you grave sit quit frequently to talk to you. i love you and miss you girl. love always ashley hobbs ~aka~ HoBBiT

I was Danielle's Family and Consumer Science teacher. I taught her Preparation for Parenting and Child Development. It was in my class that she carried the infant simulator. Because of that I know how much she must have been looking forward to motherhood and how much she must have loved her unborn child. The memory I carry with me of Danielle was her full blown zest for life. I lost a son at age 20 in a car wreck so unfortunately I do have some idea of your pain. My thoughts and prayers are with you - I hope you can take comfort in the beautiful baby boy she left you and hang on to the hope, as I do, that one day you will be with your child again for all eternity.

My son Glenn Devlin knew your daughter from school. He was in a class with her last year. I met her at Pappas Cafe on Lake Palestine sometime in November or December. I remember asking her how much longer she had in her pregnancy and she said, "Not too much longer and I am so excited." From the short time that I knew her, she was a very sweet and sincere young lady. I lost a stepson in 2000 and it is never easy but with the love and support of friends and family you will make it through this. Whenever you feel down and out just strike up a great memory you have of her. It helps. Also look to the Lord for comfort and strength. He will provide it for you. Know that you can count on the Lords word that one day we will be reunited with Danielle. Our family will be remembering you in our thoughts and prayers.
