Tender condolences to all the Guice family for the passing of Danny Sr. I just today saw that he had passed in April of this year and want to pay my respects and show my gratitude for his courageous and compassionate public service by expressing how remarkable were the contributions he made to Biloxi and to the country in serving his community well. He was an extraordinary person who did extraordinary things that made crucial differences for many people of all kinds. It's not always that difficult times have someone so attuned to the needed solutions respond so well to the challenges. We are all fortunate to have had Mayor Guice on board when he was most needed and afterward as well. Thank you for sharing your Danny with us all during those times especially. You all have a lot to be proud of because of him and also because of your continued vital roles in the community. Much peace to you all.

Mr. Danny and Margie were the best of friends with my parents, Julius and Wilda Taranto. I can remember the great times when the Guices visited my parents on back bay. Mr. Danny was a wonderful person, always willing to help anyone that needed him. He will be truly missed by our family, and he will always be in my memories as someone who cared about his city and state. May God bless the Gentle Giant.

I will always remember him as South Mississippi's Mayor during and after Camille. He worked tirelessly without rest making sure we were all safe and cared for during our recovery. I was not a Biloxi resident, but I felt He personally cared for my well being. My prayers are with the family and all caring friends. Danny Guice, Sr. will be remembered as a good man with a big heart.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family on the death of a true, wonderful Biloxian. When we came to Biloxi in 1958 he was one of the dignatories who welcomed us and every Christmas from that day on he and Mrs. Guice came to the Convent with a huge box of candy for the Sisters. I do not think that I ever attended a funeral in Biloxi without his being there. Although I am now living in Mobile, I shall never forget him andmwill miss him when I go back to Biloxi. May his great soul rest in peace. I shall be with all of you in spirit on MOn.-Tues. my prayers will be with y'all.

Mr. Guice, As I received the call on Thursday of your death my heart filled with sadness as tears fell from my eyes You were one of a kind. Ive never had the honor of being a part of a family like yours. I can remember the very first day i met you. You and your whole family welcomed me into your lives with open arms. I want to say that being not just an employee of yours but a part of your family has been such a honor. Twenty seven years has passed from the first day we met and I can say it was a honor to have known a man as fine as you. I loved you as a father. No words can ever be said to expresse the kindness you showed me over the years. Ill miss you deeply and will remember you everyday . You will live on in my heart. May you rest in peace.
