Darlene Baca Obituary
Darlene lived life to the fullest on her own terms and in her own unique way. She held various jobs in Santa Fe, Albuquerque, and Taos. We will treasure the memories Darlene left us with. We grieve her loss and she will be in our hearts forever.
A rosary is scheduled at 1:15 on Tuesday, April 4th followed by a funeral mass at 2:00 pm at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 5712 Paradise Blvd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114.

Darlene was my best friend when I lived in Santa Fe. Last night I had a horrible dream that she had died. So I just checked and it was true. It makes me very sad. I'm so sorry to her family. She and I had many wonderful years together.

"what up cuz?"--That has been our greeting to each other for as long as I can remember. You are one of the coolest people I know. There are many, many camping trip memories---hanging out at my parents, you were the best next door neighbor and no matter what, you always made us laugh!! Thanks for that. Dar to me was somewhat of a legend I find so much beauty in strong, independent women and she was definitely one of the strongest women I knew. I found it so admirable that she wanted to live life without a man or any person telling her what to do. she was going to do things her way, no matter what anybody said, and that inspired me to be a strong woman as well. From her crafting down to her work, she did it her way and it worked. I really hope to be a least half the woman that she was in her lifetime. She knew what she wanted in life and she worked for it. She knew how she wanted to be remembered, and she knew exactly who she was.in a lifetime like this not many of us ever get to that point. she was happy with even the littlest of things, and that´s some thing that not many people can say. Dar in my memory will always be the Amy Winehouse of my lifetime strong and independent not giving a damn but living life and happy about it I think with any family you do you have your ups and downs, and no matter what I love Dar so very much even when she lived with us it was always a crazy fun time. I miss her very much. I miss her and my memory of her being exactly who I would hope to be around that age a female independent doing what the I wanted , I know that she´s found her peace and I´m really sad that she´s gone but I know that this physical being is only one step in life for us. Now she´s up in heaven, listening to all the amazing hard-core hippie rock that there was partying with Janis Joplin and Ken and everybody else , waiting for the rest of us to go home as well. Stay wild Moon child. I´ll see you on the flipside
