Darlene Cloud went home to Heaven on August 19, 2022. Darlene was born on October 16, 1959 in Natchitoches, LA to L C. and Gloria Delrie. She was raised with her three brothers, Skeet, Curtis, and Vince in Cloutierville, LA on Sang Pour Sang Lake. Darlene graduated from Cloutierville High School.
During her childhood, Darlene attended Holy Rosary Catholic Church where she received her baptismal, first communion, and conformation.
On August 15, 1981, Darlene married the love of her life, David Cloud. Together they had two children, Miranda Cloud McConathy and Bud Cloud. Darlene leaves her legacy to her five beautiful grandchildren, Gloria Faye Cloud, Lillian Hope McConathy, Jacob Riley Asbury, Gavin Lane McConathy, and Carson Lawrence Cloud. Darlene later made a profession of faith in the Baptist church. She stood firm in her faith and love for Jesus, loving to read her Bible every night. She and David spent years together teaching and working at the church, coaching and providing a loving Christian home where anyone was always welcome.
Darlene loved her job at Natchitoches Regional Medical Center where she had so many friends she considered family. She had a passion for taking care of people. She was always cooking and caring for everyone. She loved to be surrounded by her large family full of cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
She had a very kind soul. Very easy going and soft spoken. After retirement she and David loved traveling, trying lots of new restaurants, and seeing new sights, with their beloved dog Marcus riding right in the middle.
Darlene will be so greatly missed until we are all together again.
Darlene was preceded in death by her father and mother, Lawrence C. Delrie and Gloria Kerry Delrie; brother, Vince Delrie; and niece, Lauren Delrie.
