Happy 1st Heavenly Mother's Day
Two weeks ago, the Lord called you home
They haven't been easy, at all
Unexpectedly, you're physically gone
I'm on autopilot
Trying to be there for everyone, to be strong
Your first birthday came and the words never came
The doctors say I am in shock
Pain seeps in, as the flower petals fall
I wish I could say that I am ok
Far from it without my rock & stone
Comfort comes knowing you're not alone
My heart continues to break
A bit more each day
As I write this, I think of those that love & miss you
Feeling selfish I can't help them more
Our love is one of a kind
It'll always exist through space and time
No beautiful poem today
Just heartfelt words in a letter from me
I hope it touches others, that they appreciate
Mothers are the rarest gift of all
