I had met Darrell only once before, which was a couple of years prior to meeting him again at RCR Cruise Night in September 2012.I was looking at a vehicle when this gentleman spoke my name.It struck me how he had remembered my name.I'm thinking now that this was just the type of guy he was.

Only yesterday I learned of Darrell's passing and it deeply saddened me. We spent many years working together at Bell (78 O'Connor) and only recently shared an appreciation of old cars. His smile and laugh was contagious; I'll miss him at the car shows.

I just read about this yesterday and was saddened. I had just returned from out west and crossed paths with Darrell for the first time at NDMC changing the high voltage paths there. Turns out we had a place on the river across the road from the church just down the path from the farm. I left that company but crossed paths with him other times at other jobs
He impressed me and I figure that was him working on the higher voltage paths for the light show in the sky last night. If I am lucky enough our paths will cross again on future jobs or even just in passing. Please take care

Its been some time since I worked with Darrell.
I remember him as a trustworthy and
diligent practioner of his trade.
Always good humoured and helpful he
contributed value to the projects;
often helping to solve problems on the job when the rest of us were stumped.
To his family I say he was a good guy; Please accept my sympathy; I know he will be missed.
