I became acquainted with the Googe family during the 1960's, through our membership at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Inglewood, California. Jamie and I were in the same confirmation class and were confirmed together in 1965.


I have many fond memories of Darrell, Barbara, Jamie, and Linda. Darrell was an excellent Sunday School Superintendent at Holy Trinity for many years. I always remember that he proudly wore his Sunday School pins on his lapel every Sunday. He was a very warm, soft-spoken, caring person. When Darrell learned that I was searching for my first job, he arranged for me to have a job interview at Western Electric.


My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Googe family during this difficult time. I will always be thankful for the kindness and friendship that was shown to me and my family during your years of membership at Holy Trinity. May God bring you comfort and peace.
